A burial ground and committal shelter are being built on the grounds of St. Matthews Church on Overlook Drive in Winter Haven.
St. Matthews Church, at 1991 SE Overlook Drive in Winter Haven, is developing approximately three acres of open space on the east side of its existing property into a cemetery. The project includes a committal shelter, internal roadways, and infrastructure to support the burial ground.
The existing church building and facilities will remain unchanged. The site plan was filed with Polk County in late January 2025 and has been approved.
