Publix upgrades its deli plant and warehouse buildings on New Tampa Highway
Publix is reroofing warehouse and maintenance buildings and adding fire and life-safety systems across its Lakeland deli plant campus.
Publix Super Markets is carrying out a round of building upgrades at its facilities on New Tampa Highway in west Lakeland. The largest permit covers a roughly $3.3 million roof replacement on the Publix Deli Warehouse (Buildings 19 & 25), with Advanced Roofing as contractor. A separate, smaller roof job was finaled on Fleet Maintenance Building #11.
Other permits on the campus cover life-safety and fire-protection work — a radio communication enhancement/life-safety system at the Publix Lakeland Deli Plant, fire alarm installations, and fire alarm and sprinkler work tied to a "Publix Fresh Kitchen." These are improvements to existing Publix operations rather than a new building.
The permits span two parcels and were filed and issued across 2025 and 2026, with several already finaled.
