Polk County Medical Examiner's Office is expanding its facility at 1011 Jim Keene Blvd in Winter Haven.
Polk County is expanding its Medical Examiner's Office, adding 14,377 square feet to the two existing office buildings, which will grow to 26,350 square feet total.
The expansion includes a limited expansion of the existing parking lot and relocation of utility infrastructure. Storm water pond swales will be expanded to handle the added impervious surface. A site plan was filed in August 2026 and is currently in revision with the county. A separate interior renovation permit for a business conference room was filed in March 2026 and is in inspections.
