I-4 between Hillsborough County line and Galloway Road is being resurfaced
FDOT is resurfacing a stretch of I-4 from the Hillsborough County line to Galloway Road.
The Florida Department of Transportation is resurfacing approximately 5 miles of Interstate 4 (also known as State Road 400) between the Hillsborough County line and Galloway Road on Lakeland's south side. The project, contracted to Gosalia Concrete Constructors, Inc., cost about $8.8 million and was scheduled through the end of 2024.
According to FDOT records, construction began in October 2023 with an estimated completion date of December 22, 2024. The work was part of FDOT's Five-Year Work Program for fiscal years 2023-2025.
