A new fire rescue station is being built in Bradley Junction on Old Highway 37
Where it is. In Bradley Junction.
An 11,300-square-foot fire rescue station is going up on Old Highway 37 in the Bradley Junction area of Mulberry.
Records describe a new fire rescue station on roughly 4.5 acres at 6800 Old Highway 37 in the Bradley Junction area south of Mulberry. The project includes an approximately 11,300-square-foot station building with parking, drive aisles, stormwater areas, a septic drain field, and a fire protection water storage tank. The site takes access from Old Highway 37.
To make the project possible, the county approved a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment changing about 8.13 acres from RCC-R to an institutional (INST) designation for a fire station and water treatment plant. The site plan review is complete, a landscaping waiver was granted, and a permit for the underground fire line is now in the inspections stage, which indicates construction is underway.
