Apex Logistics is building a 202,000-square-foot warehouse on Highway 33 in North Lakeland

County permit records describe a new shell warehouse of about 202,471 square feet at 8161 N Highway 33, north of Lakeland, built under the name Apex Logistics. The building is non-combustible construction, anticipated for storage use, and equipped with an automatic sprinkler system. The main shell permit is in the inspections stage, and supporting permits cover fire sprinklers, an underground fireline, a truck ramp, and a dumpster enclosure.

Separate permits propose finishing out spec office suites inside the shell — including a 2,500-square-foot "South Corner Office" (Suite 300) and a matching "Center Office" (Suite 200), each with added restrooms, a breakroom, a janitor closet, an IT room and offices. Those office build-out permits are currently marked closed-denied in county records.

Several of the ancillary permits show as expired, and a job-site trailer application was denied. The overall project centers on the large storage building taking shape on the site.
